Our first stop on this trip was Vienna, Austria, we flew from Barcelona to Vienna with Ryanair with some cheap tickets we found on skyscanner, just £30 ! We spent this day exploring the beautiful city. Firstly we visited the cathedral which was very impressive, you should definitely pay extra to go to the top spire as we found this view incredible. The main reason we visited the city was to see the Easter market, they were amazing. People were selling all sorts of traditional Easter decor from decorated eggs to felted animals. You should definetly take the metro a couple of stops away to schonbrun palace, here you find an even bigger market with even more stalls and even a Lindt section to buy hot chocolates. The last attraction we visited was the Austrian national library, this was only £7 and you get to see the artwork that covers the ceiling. To make this trip as cheap as possible we stayed in a hostel which was perfect for us as it had a private room but clean shared bathroom, this was called hostel Bloom.
The next day we took a 1 hour train ride over to Bratislava, Slovakia. This city was beautiful, very Eastern European with its architecture, we visited some lovely historic buildings from the blue church to the pink palace, these were very unique. We had a lovely lunch at Urban bistro on the Main Street which I highly recommend and then wondered up towards the castle. This had an amazing view and ended the day off perfectly. We then flew back to the Uk from Bratislava
